With 23 years in education – 14 as the principal at C.H. Bird Elementary School – I’m proud to say I was the one who learned a lot. Through the years, it was the children, parents and teachers I had the pleasure of working with who taught me many lifelong lessons.

They taught me to listen and communicate better. They taught me to more effectively problem-solve and to quickly find the areas where I was needed the most. They gave me the highest of all ‘highs’ in being a part of their countless accomplishments.

It was a heart-and-soul type of a career.

As I started my second career, the leap from educator to Realtor® was not as big as many may think. Yes, I once again had to immerse myself in learning laws, forms, etiquette and all of the many nuances of the real estate industry. But, the community connections, the adding value, the problem-solving, and especially the heart-and-soul part is paramount here.
